How to Reach Me

A call, if you'd rather talk

Calendar: Book a free 30-minute slot

Best for a first conversation, a technical question, or sanity-checking an idea before you commit budget to it. No pitch. If the honest answer is "you don't need this", that's what you'll get.

Email, if you have detail to share

Email: hello@coderscantina.com

Best for requirements, specifications, and partnership enquiries: anything where we both benefit from thinking before answering. I reply within one working day.

In person: Vienna and Salzburg

Face to face

I'm based in Vienna's second district and in Salzburg regularly. For Austrian, German, and nearby European clients, meeting in person for kickoffs and workshops usually saves more time than it costs.

Coffee, a workshop session, or a full project kickoff. Your call.

Further afield? I travel

International work

For larger projects I'll come to you: a week of intensive work in New York, a kickoff in Singapore, stakeholder sessions in London. Most of the work happens remotely afterwards; the important parts are worth being in the room for.

What the First Call Looks Like

Questions, not a pitch

I'll ask what the system has to do, who uses it, and what happens if it breaks. If I'm not the right fit, you'll hear that on this call, along with a suggestion of who might be.

A straight read

My honest view of your current setup, a realistic timeline, and a rough cost range. Rough means rough. The precise number comes after discovery, not before.

No obligation

One project or a standing arrangement, both are fine. Nothing on the first call commits you to anything, and I don't follow up more than once.

What Happens When

First reply: within one working day
Written proposal: within a week of our call for most projects
Larger assessments: up to two weeks, when a system needs a proper review first
Project start: usually two to four weeks after signing, depending on current bookings

Free mentoring

ADPList: adplist.org/mentors/michael-wallner

For early-career developers, founders, and people switching into tech: 30 to 45 minute sessions, free, weekly slots. Career advice, architecture questions, and an honest read on what's worth learning next.

Currently taking new mentees.

Ready When You Are

A fully specified project and a half-formed idea are both fine starting points. If it's the second one, the call is probably more useful than the email.
